Homoeopathy as system of treatment was started by a German Physician,Dr.Christian Frederick Samuel Hahnemann.
Dr.Hahnemann a Physcian of the then prevailing system of treatment was not satisfied with the explanations given to the principles of cure.
The idea of Homoeopathic cure occured to him while translating Cullen's Materia Medica in 1790.So we can consider the year of birth of Homoeopathy as an art of Healing as 1790.
